Tonderai Mateyaunga, the captain of CAPS United, has disclosed that he rejected tempting offers from various clubs and decided to remain with the Green Machine.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper attracted interest from multiple teams after his contract with Makepekepe expired at the end of last year. Despite receiving offers from at least three clubs, Mateyaunga opted to stay with CAPS United.
Mateyaunga, a former Dynamos player who was linked with Simba Bhora during the mid-season window last year, cited the love and appreciation he feels at CAPS United as the main reason for his decision. He expressed gratitude to the club’s president, Farai Jere, the coaching staff led by Lloyd Chitembwe, and the supporters for their amazing support.
