Family appeals for US$30k for daughter’s liver transplant

A Zvimba man is seeking a US$30 000 to fund a liver transplant for his seven-month-old daughter.

Tatenda Dziike said his daughter, Tanaka, developed jaundice three days after she was born.

The jaundice worsened until her liver was affected.

“When we returned 14 days later, she still had jaundice and the nurse referred us to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital, then we decided to do home remedies.

“Doctors tried everything, but the condition did not change,” he said.

Dziike is now appealing to anyone who can donate money to fund a liver transplant in South Africa for Tanaka.

“We are appealing to those who can help to assist us so that our child gets well,” he said.
