Father in Shock as Son Kills Brother Over Love Dispute

Mufakose, Harare – A devastating family tragedy has shaken the quiet suburb of Mufakose, leaving a father reeling in shock and a community struggling to come to terms with a violent incident that ended in fratricide.

Charles Ncube, father to the now-infamous Mufakose brothers, expressed deep grief and disbelief following the altercation between his sons that turned fatal. “I am based at the farm, I was not around. I was shocked to hear about this and the brother is still on the run,” Mr. Ncube told H-Metro.

The incident unfolded at Gwenyambira Shopping Centre during what began as a seemingly harmless game of snooker between Prince Ncube, 27, a nurse at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital, and his brother Pardon Ncube. However, tensions flared over a woman named Phillipa, turning a sibling rivalry into a deadly confrontation.

According to local sources, the disagreement quickly escalated, ending with Pardon reportedly being fatally attacked by Prince, who is now said to be on the run from authorities.

“This is sad, Prince has been ever violent maybe it is because of weightlifting,” a neighbour shared. “We have been wondering how he treats patients considering that he is a nurse. Killing his brother because of Phillipa, it’s sad. He got married recently and had a better wedding only to frustrate his wife by fighting for a girlfriend.”

The community is now left mourning a life lost and questioning the events that led to such a horrific outcome. As police continue their search for Prince, residents and family members are calling for justice and healing.

More details are expected as investigations unfold.
