In his view, the fathers in these communities are portrayed as idly blaming their lack of progress on political issues, waiting for a “political messiah” to come and address their grievances.

Young women are not spared in Shadaya’s critique. He describes them as having a “false sense of value,” with high expectations that are not met by their circumstances.

He advises those in such environments to strive for personal development and to escape, warning that efforts to improve one’s situation will likely be met with sabotage from those around them.
