Man Confronts President and Gets Beaten by Security Agents!

A bold and daring man from Epworth was left bruised and battered after breaching President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s security and trying to confront him during a speech on Saturday.

The incident happened at the launch of the Presidential Title Deeds and Settlement Regularisation Programme in the dormitory settlement.

According to The Standard, the man, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, raced towards the stage where Mnangagwa was delivering his speech but was stopped by State security agents a few metres away. He was then taken behind a VVIP tent, where he was reportedly beaten up.

The man’s actions have caused a stir on social media, with many Zimbabweans expressing their views on the incident. Some have praised him for his bravery, while others have condemned his actions, saying that it was reckless and could have put the President’s life in danger.

During the event, Mnangagwa handed over 265 title deeds to residents and promised them that more were coming. The programme is aimed at regularising informal settlements and providing security of tenure to residents. Mnangagwa also spoke about the need to improve the living conditions of Zimbabweans.

“We are a government that delivers. Today I have returned to Epworth to deliver on that promise,”

“This event demonstrated that we have the political will and technical skills to deliver while sufficient resources are available to support this exercise,” Mnangagwa said.

“So when we go to elections you should vote wisely in a way that keeps the legacy of black people which is known by those, who fought for it not those who came along the way.”
