Man Slained For Stealing Maize Cob National Foods

After being severely beaten for allegedly stealing a corn cob from a field owned by a National Foods employee in Rugare, a suspected thief met a horrible end.

In relation to the event, Gift Kamupira, Sirivako Davison Kagwa, Stephen Albert Phiri, and Barbra Kumadzi are currently being charged with murder.

After appearing in court and being placed under remand, the accused were counselled to apply for bail from the High Court.

The prosecution, headed by Rufaro Chonzi, claims that on April 5, the four people attacked the deceased person without naming him after they saw him stealing. National Foods

They allegedly beat the victim severely with sticks, cables, and fists, causing him to lose consciousness and eventually die.

A 27-year-old Durban Metro Police officer has been arrested for allegedly fatally stabbing his girlfriend, who was also an officer. The incident occurred inside a flat on Joseph Nduli Street in Durban on Sunday.

Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said the suspect took videos and pictures of his girlfriend taking her last breath and distributed it to several people as well as social media.

It’s alleged that the couple were consuming alcohol when the man allegedly stabbed the woman to death in the early hours of Sunday.
