Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals recently received a significant boost in its cancer treatment efforts with the arrival of a consignment of chemotherapy drugs valued at US$50,000. Generously donated by TM Pick n Pay and CABS, in collaboration with the Cancer Association of Zimbabwe, this contribution marks a pivotal step towards enhancing the hospital’s capacity to provide essential cancer care.
During the handover ceremony, Mrs. Junior Mavu, General Manager of the Cancer Association of Zimbabwe, expressed gratitude for the collaborative effort that made the donation possible. She highlighted the fundraising initiatives undertaken during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, which included Zumba sessions hosted by TM Pick n Pay and a donation campaign facilitated by CABS.
Through these endeavors, funds were diligently accumulated, culminating in the procurement of the much-needed chemotherapy medications.
