Andreas Pereira’s two goals led Fulham to their third away win of the Premier League season as they defeated West Ham United 2-0 on Sunday.
In the ninth minute, Konstantinos Mavropanos lost control of Alex Iwobi’s long ball, which fell to Pereira inside the box. The former Manchester United midfielder skillfully sidestepped goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and scored with ease.
Iwobi played a crucial role in the second goal, which occurred in the 72nd minute. His cross from the edge of the box nutmegged Nayef Aguerd, finding Pereira, who confidently finished the play, completing Fulham’s league double over West Ham.
In the 85th minute, the match temporarily stopped when West Ham’s George Earthy, a substitute, collided with teammate Edson Alvarez and fell to the ground. The 19-year-old was treated on the field and then taken away on a stretcher.
With 42 points from 33 matches, Fulham climbed to 12th place on the Premier League table, level with Bournemouth, who have played one less game. West Ham remained in eighth place with 48 points, four ahead of Chelsea, who have three games in hand and will host Everton on Monday.
