Real Madrid Raises Eyebrows with Inclusion of Suspended Tchouameni in Champions League Squad
The inclusion of Aurelien Tchouameni, a player suspended, on Real Madrid’s travelling team for their forthcoming Champions League encounter against Manchester City has created a stir.
Although the Frenchman’s inclusion in the Spanish team won’t result in any immediate consequences, Tchouameni’s involvement during the match would be a major administrative mistake.
The reason for Tchouameni’s ban is a booking he got early in the exciting first-leg 3–3 tie at the Bernabeu against Manchester City. After he fouled, there was a free kick awarded, and Bernardo Silva scored the equaliser for City.
Tchouameni’s third yellow card of the Champions League season prevents him from playing in Real Madrid’s pivotal match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, even though he was playing defence because of recent injuries.
