Harare | Roadworx Concrete has come under fire as legal action looms over their failure to deliver 50 cubic meters of Grade 30 Premix concrete to their client, Mr. Columbus S Mavhunga. What started as a routine transaction has now escalated into a dispute, with serious implications for Roadworx Concrete.

According to papers in ZiMetro’s possession, on August 16, 2023, Mr. Mavhunga entered into a contract with Roadworx Concrete for the delivery of Grade 30 Premix concrete, as outlined in a quotation provided by the company.

The firm representative who spoke with this publication expressed ignorance over the issue despite acknowledging that he is aware of the issue when asked for a comment.

In good faith, Mr. Mavhunga deposited the agreed-upon sum of US $7,830.00 to Roadworx Concrete, expecting timely delivery of the product.

Unfortunately, Roadworx Concrete failed to uphold their end of the bargain. Despite receiving payment, they neglected to deliver the concrete as promised prompting fraud fears.

This fraudulent breach of contract not only caused inconvenience but also resulted in financial losses for Mr. Mavhunga. To make matters worse, Mr. Mavhunga was forced to incur additional expenses by hiring deck pans in anticipation of Roadworx Concrete’s delivery, further compounding the damages suffered.

Faced with Roadworx Concrete’s persistent refusal to fulfill their obligations, Mr. Mavhunga has taken decisive action. Through his legal representatives, he has issued a final demand for the delivery of the Grade 30 Premix concrete within 48 hours.
