Schwarzman Scholars Program: A Gateway to Global Leadership

The Schwarzman Scholars program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, offers a one-year Master’s degree with the goal of developing the next generation of global leaders.

This special fellowship seeks to help outstanding students globally build professional networks and leadership abilities in response to the changing geopolitical scenario of the twenty-first century.

  • Up to 200 scholarships available
  • Distribution: Approximately 45% for U.S. students, 20% for Chinese students, and 35% for students from other countries

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Background: Undergraduate degree or equivalent from an accredited institution. Current undergraduates must complete their degree before August 1 of the enrollment year.
  • Age: Must be between 18 and 29 years old as of August 1 of the enrollment year.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong English skills required. Non-native speakers must provide test scores (TOEFL iBT minimum 100, IELTS minimum 7, or Cambridge English minimum 185). Waivers available for those who studied in English for at least two years or have a relevant English-language Master’s degree.

    • For U.S. and international applicants: September 12, 2024, at 3 p.m. EDT
    • For applicants from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao: May 20, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CST
