A second explosive audio recording featuring controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has surfaced, igniting a storm on social media.
Days earlier, a previous audio leak revealed Chivayo bragging about his influence over President Mnangagwa and the government system.
In the recording, Chivayo boasted about his powerful connections, claiming that the system now considers him a trusted insider. He mentioned that he receives major contracts and advance payments, and even stated that President Mnangagwa refers to him as a son.
Amid the current drought crisis affecting the nation, Chivayo expressed his interest in securing a maize supply tender, alongside contracts with the police and immigration. He also claimed that his wealth has increased twentyfold since August 2023.
The newly leaked audio presents even more startling revelations. Chivayo allegedly obtained a US$40 million contract to supply biometric voter registration kits and other electoral materials for the August 2023 elections.

During the Easter holidays, Better Brands Security, owned by Scott Sakupwanya, reportedly received a US$1 million payment. Chivayo detailed the distribution of this payment, stating that Sakupwanya was allocated US$350,000; he himself received US$150,000; Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe each got US$150,000; ZEC chairperson Priscilla Chigumba received US$100,000, and the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) Director-General Isaac Moyo was given US$100,000.
Following this, Chivayo launched into a rant, criticizing Moses Mpofu of Better Brands for disclosing their deal to others.
