Spiritual Attack Suspected as Zhomba High School Shuts Down Following Disturbances

Zhomba High School in Gokwe has been temporarily closed after a series of unusual disturbances among the student body, which are being attributed to a suspected spiritual attack.

The situation has caused significant concern, prompting local authorities to take immediate action.

According to Gokwe North District Development Coordinator, Mr. Martin Musakanda, authorities are actively assessing the situation to understand the cause of the disturbances. “We are on our way to investigate and determine the extent of the issue,” Musakanda stated.

The ongoing assessment aims to ensure the safety and well-being of the students while also addressing the root cause of the strange occurrences.

The disturbances reportedly began on Monday with a single student showing signs of strange behavior. School head Mr. Washington Chikunichawa confirmed that, as of now, eight students have been affected by what he described as bizarre behavior. “I directed learners to go home due to their strange conduct,” said Chikunichawa.

He further mentioned that local authorities, including chiefs, were convening to discuss the way forward and decide on the necessary actions to address the situation.

In a concerning development, Gokwe-Kabuyuni legislator, Cde Spencer Tshuma, revealed that Zhomba High School has a history of mysterious events.

Last year, a bizarre incident took place when a whirlwind swept away an exam answer sheet from the school, only to be found 500 meters away from the classroom. Tshuma’s comments suggest that this ongoing pattern of strange occurrences at the school might not be an isolated incident.

As of now, the school remains closed, and efforts are underway to assess whether the disturbances are linked to spiritual or supernatural forces. The community, local leadership, and parents are awaiting further developments to understand what has caused the disturbances and how the situation will be resolved.

The authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of the students, while parents and guardians have expressed concern about the well-being of their children.
