Harare| WestProp Holdings Private Limited has launched the Hills Luxury Golf Estate, a ultra-luxury development that promises to change the face of Harare and Zimbabwe.
The project, which is part of the Urban Renewal Projects endorsed by the Second Republic, is a legacy project that brings many firsts to Sub-Saharan Africa.
Speaking at the launch, WestProp CEO, Mr. Ken Sharpe, said, “This project is a game-changer for Zimbabwe. We are creating value of over US$300 million and hope to grow the valuation substantially by the time we complete the project.”

The Hills Luxury Golf Estate is a mixed-use development that includes branded residences, a five-star hotel, a retirement home, world-class sporting facilities, and a shopping mall. The development also features an 82% green and open space, making it a unique and sustainable project.
Mr. Sharpe emphasized that the project is a vote of confidence in brand Zimbabwe, with WestProp committing huge investments to the project.
“We believe that Zimbabwe’s biggest asset is its people, and by building homes and social amenities, we are keeping people at home and attracting those in the diaspora to come back home.”
In an interview with Zimetro, President of Zimbabwe Golf Association Martin Chikwanha said they welcome this long-awaited initiative to the city and the country at large.
“It is such a pleasure to witness this, and it’s new to the country; we haven’t had a groundbreaking like this for a long time,” Chikwanha said.
“For us to be associated with such a development in our country and town is a blessing. The project is expected to attract golfers and tourists from the region, with a USGA standard golf course and exclusive membership opportunities. If the pictures we are seeing here are what is going to happen, we will be able to host a world-class golf tournament in the country,” he said.
WestProp is also partnering with local athletes, including Kirsty Coventry, to develop swimming and tennis academies.
The launch marks the beginning of a new era in luxury living and golfing in Zimbabwe, with WestProp setting a new standard for developments in the country.
