Wicknell Chivayo Honors Scottland FC with Generous Support Following Premier Soccer League Promotion

Harare, Zimbabwe – In a powerful show of support for one of Zimbabwe’s rising football clubs, Wicknell Chivayo, businessman and philanthropist, has pledged substantial financial backing to Scottland FC following the team’s remarkable victory over MWOS, which secured their place in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Chivayo, who had previously promised to back the team for their dedication and hard work, has delivered on his word by gifting 20 Toyota Aquas to the players. The vehicles are intended to boost morale and reward Scotland FC’s stellar performance, which saw them top the Northern Region Soccer League, earning them a spot among Zimbabwe’s elite football clubs in the PSL.

“I am thrilled to see Scottland FC reach this milestone and am proud to fulfill my pledge of 20 Toyota Aquas to the team,” said Chivayo. “This is just the beginning. Their rise from humble beginnings in Mabvuku to the PSL is a testament to their hard work and determination. I am honored to be part of their journey.”

In addition to the cars, Chivayo is honoring his USD 1 million pledge to the club. This contribution serves as a token of appreciation for Scotland FC’s incredible journey to the top, reflecting the team’s commitment and perseverance.

Chivayo’s financial commitment does not end there. To further support the club’s preparations for the upcoming PSL season, he has pledged an additional USD 600,000. The money will be used for player signings and to improve the team’s infrastructure, ensuring Scotland FC is well-equipped to make a strong impact in the PSL.
