The Zimbabwe Football Association’s (ZIFA) Appeals Committee is set to convene on Thursday this week to review the dispute between Karoi United and Scottland FC.

Karoi United is challenging the decision made by the ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) to award Scottland FC a 3-0 victory for their match, which was abandoned on September 15.

The match, which was tied 1-1 in the 88th minute, was called off after referee Mathew Dingo was reportedly struck by an object and could not continue.

Following the incident, the NRSL held Karoi United responsible for the abandonment and granted Scottland FC three points, propelling them to the top of the league standings.

With their 3-1 win over Black Mambas on Friday, Scottland FC secured the top position in the NRSL, finishing the season with 87 points, just two points ahead of second-placed MWOS.

“The Zimbabwe Football Association acknowledges receipt of your appeal and informs you that the Appeals Committee will meet on November 14 at 11 AM. If you wish to submit additional materials, please ensure they are submitted before this date. We have also requested the record of proceedings from the Northern Region.”
