The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust is offering two full scholarships for students from developing countries to pursue a taught Master’s degree at SOAS University of London.

Eligible Programs:
The scholarships are available for full-time Master’s programs within the College of Humanities, excluding the following courses:
- MA Buddhist Studies
- MA Buddhist Studies with Intensive Language
- MA Traditions of Yoga and Meditation
Number of Scholarships:
Two scholarships are available.
Target Group:
These scholarships are aimed at students from low-income or lower-middle-income countries, as defined by the World Bank.
Scholarship Value and Duration:
Each scholarship, funded by the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust, provides £32,500 to cover tuition fees. However, the scholarship does not cover maintenance or accommodation expenses.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a resident of a low-income or lower-middle-income country (as per World Bank classification), preferably from a low-income household.
- Hold an undergraduate degree with first-class honours.
- Apply for a full-time master’s program at SOAS. Applicants must have an offer of admission by the time the scholarship panel reviews applications.
- Meet the English language requirements for their offer of admission to SOAS.
- Note: This scholarship does not cover Pre-sessional courses.
Application Process:
Applicants must submit an online application for their chosen Master’s program at SOAS. Scholarship applications must be submitted by 12:00 pm (midday, UK local time) on February 7, 2025. Processing times for applications may take up to 4 weeks, or up to 6 weeks during busy periods.
