Tensions Persist Within Opposition as Chamisa Allies Forge Ahead with New Movement. Friction between longstanding figures within the opposition and those aligned with former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa continues to brew.
Following Chamisa’s departure from CCC, citing alleged Zanu PF infiltration, his supporters have wasted no time in mobilizing for their cause.
Led by Ostallos Siziba and Amos Chibaya, engagement sessions are underway across various provinces, with recent visits to Midlands and Bulawayo provinces introducing the “Blue Movement,” reportedly adopted by Chamisa for his new political endeavor.
Kuwadzana East legislator, Chalton Hwende, took to social media to criticize unnamed individuals for rushing to assert themselves within the new movement.

In his statement, Hwende emphasized the need to await Chamisa’s further announcements and cautioned against power struggles and violence within the opposition ranks.
Despite Chamisa’s silence on his future plans since leaving CCC, the party remains without leadership or structure, with no member stepping up to fill his role.
Hwende accused certain individuals of opportunistically aligning themselves with Chamisa for personal gain, urging patience for Chamisa’s decision-making process.
Addressing Hwende’s remarks, Siziba dismissed any involvement in “skullduggery,” indicating a focus on their political initiatives instead.
