Hardlife Zvirekwi Gets Coaching Post at CAPS United
Hardlife Zvirekwi has rejoined his former club CAPS United as a coach for the junior team. Zvirekwi retired from playing football at the start of last year following his release at the then newly promoted side Simba Bhora.
He didn’t get a team and has now moved into coaching after being appointed as the CAPS United academy coach.
The former fullback was part of the Makepekepe squad that won the 2016 Castle Lager Premiership and later became their captain.
Also returning to the Green Machine is club legend Alois Bunjira.
The retired forward officially takes over the marketing department.
Bunjira replaces Raymond Gonte, who left the club in August last year.
In other news, Khama Billiat has joined Prophet Magaya’s Yadah FC on a R100k per month salary making him the highest paid player in Zimbabwe PSL.
Billiat arrived in the country on Tuesday to complete his return to local football after more than a decade in the South African Premiership, where he turned out for Ajax Cape Town, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.
In a suprise twist to the Billiat transfer saga, the nimble-footed Mufakose-bred forward was welcomed at the airport and whisked away by Yadah have officials, as the Miracle Boys won the race for his signature, after a budding war involving Dynamos and Manica Diamonds.
Manica Diamonds were very close to signing Billiat, before he was enticed by the Yadah offer of US$20 000 signing on fee and a monthly salary of US$5000, which will make him the highest paid player in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
