Harare, Zimbabwe | It was a challenging weekend for rapper Holy Ten, who faced a series of unfortunate events at two high-profile venues in Harare.
The artist experienced a cold reception from fans at both the Coca-Cola Unplugged Food Festival and the Harare Cup Clash, where he was booed and later suffered a minor mishap on stage.
The trouble began at the Coca-Cola Unplugged Food Festival held at First Capital Bank Sports Club, where Holy Ten shared the stage with popular acts like South Africa’s Felo Le Tee, Killer T, Tamy Moyo, and The Travellers Band.
However, the rapper’s performance was cut short when the audience began to boo, forcing him off the stage.
Undeterred, Holy Ten moved on to the Harare Cup Clash at the City Sports Centre, where he was a surprise guest among a lineup of dancehall artists.
During the performance of his hit song “Pressure,” he lost his balance and tumbled off the 1.3-meter-high stage. Fortunately, he avoided serious injury as the scaffold below cushioned his fall.

Security and his crew quickly helped him back up, and he was able to continue with his performance, showing resilience in the face of the awkward moment.
Later in the night, Holy Ten was tasked with endorsing some of the upcoming dancehall talent and even pledged to collaborate with I-Candy, also known as Madzimai, who was crowned the Dancehall Queen. Despite this, the crowd’s reaction remained lukewarm, and Holy Ten was booed again, as the event predominantly featured dancehall music—a genre different from his usual style.
Holy Ten’s stumble puts him in the company of other international stars such as Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Burna Boy, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, and Madonna, who have all fallen on stage during performances but managed to recover and continue.
The rapper’s mishaps over the weekend sparked mixed reactions among fans, with opinions ranging from criticism to concern:

- “Hazvina kana basa zvekuti akadonha haasiriye atanga kudonha Burna Boy chaiye akadonha mamanje apa.” — Letty TheLady

- “Haana kukuvara here apo, anenge ane stress, is he abusing alcohol?” — Curtis Wallace

Despite the setback, Holy Ten’s ability to carry on with his performance demonstrated his professionalism and commitment to his craft. The events of the weekend may have been a rough patch, but like many before him, Holy Ten’s recovery and continued performance show that the show must go on.
