The culprit behind these crimes, a notorious suspect wielding machetes, had struck terror into the hearts of many. His name was Tawanda Roy Ndlovu, known for his brazen use of violence to rob people of their cellphones, gadgets, and even essentials like cash, clothes, and groceries.
With 55 counts of robbery looming over him, Ndlovu appeared before Shurugwi Magistrate Sithabile Zungula, ready to face the consequences of his actions. The residents, weary from the spate of crimes that had plagued their town, hoped fervently that this development would mark the end of their ordeal.
Hailing from village 1 under Chief Ntabeni in Zhombe, Ndlovu stood in court, accompanied by the absence of his three accomplices who were still at large. Despite the gravity of his crimes, Ndlovu chose to plead guilty to the charges brought against him.
