Shannon Sharpe unintentionally broadcasted a private Instagram Live video to his 3.2 million followers, which included audio of him and a woman in an intimate moment.
The Pro Football Hall of Famer and ESPN analyst later clarified that his Instagram account had not been hacked.
He admitted that the broadcast was a result of a mistake and expressed deep embarrassment over the incident. During an emergency episode of “Nightcap,” Sharpe addressed his followers, saying he felt humiliated to have such a private moment made public.

“I’m very disappointed in myself, not for the act itself, but because the audio was shared,” Sharpe said. “I understand that many people engage in similar activities, but having it broadcasted was a mistake. I let a lot of people down.”
The video, which featured Sharpe and an unidentified woman, attracted thousands of live viewers on social media. Initially, Sharpe claimed his account was hacked in a post on X, but he later retracted this statement.
Sharpe explained that he accidentally went live on Instagram due to his unfamiliarity with the platform’s features.
