The state in the Senzo Meyiwa trial is expected to call a new witness when the trial resumes today. Defence lawyer Zandile Mshololo is expected to continue to cross-examine the state’s witness, police officer Patrick Mthethwa in the Senzo Meyiwa trial.
Five men are on trial for the murder of the soccer star who was shot and killed in 2014. Meyiwa was at singer Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s house in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg when he was shot.
On Tuesday Sgt Mlungisi Mthethwa, attached to the crime prevention unit at Vosloorus police station, took to the stand to testify how he responded to a shooting in progress call on the night Meyiwa was shot on October 26 2014.
