Zimbabwe and Ghana have strengthened their bilateral relations through the signing of key agreements aimed at boosting tourism and economic growth.
President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa and Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama presided over the signing of ten Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in Accra, following the inaugural session of the Zimbabwe–Ghana Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation.
A Memorandum of Understanding in the tourism sector was signed by the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Barbara Rwodzi, marking a significant step in advancing cooperation between the two nations.
The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration focused on joint marketing and promotion, tourism research, product development, skills training, and investment facilitation through public-private partnerships.

Through these initiatives, Zimbabwe and Ghana seek to increase tourist arrivals, enhance destination visibility, and promote sustainable tourism development.
The partnership is also expected to strengthen cultural exchange and deepen people-to-people relations.
The development highlights the growing role of tourism in driving economic transformation and reinforcing diplomatic ties between African nations.
