Betting company AfricaBet has officially confirmed its long-anticipated sponsorship partnership with Zimbabwean football giants Dynamos, ending weeks of speculation surrounding the agreement.
While the company did not disclose the financial value or duration of the deal, AfricaBet said the partnership is designed to strengthen the club both on and off the field through various developmental and commercial initiatives.
In a statement released on Wednesday, AfricaBet said the collaboration goes beyond traditional sponsorship, positioning it as an investment in football development and community growth.
“Through this partnership, we aim to support fan engagement, enhance the team’s competitiveness, promote digital inclusion, and create economic opportunities linked to the football ecosystem,” the company said.
AfricaBet added that the agreement seeks to contribute to the broader growth of Zimbabwean football by nurturing local talent and supporting structures that can help build stronger national teams in the future.
“Thus, this collaboration is more than sponsorship; it is about investing in local talent, helping build a base for strong national teams, supporting community development, and ensuring that football continues to be a vehicle for hope, opportunity, and national pride,” the statement read.
The company also paid tribute to Dynamos supporters, acknowledging their unwavering loyalty despite the club’s recent challenges.
“To the Dynamos supporters: you are the 12th man. Your loyalty through triumphs and challenges inspires us. We stand with you, with the club, and with Zimbabwe as we work together to strengthen the game and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s future, bringing the glamour back,” AfricaBet said.
AfricaBet expressed confidence that the partnership would help restore Dynamos’ competitive edge both domestically and on the continental stage.
