Chivi Man Demands Unprotected s3x From s3x Worker
A man from Chivi made an appearance at the Chiredzi Regional Magistrates Court for coercing a sex worker into having unprotected s3x with him. Despite initially agreeing to a transaction of ZAR200 for s3x, Peter Gwabvira from Runesu Village, Chief Nemauzhe, Chivi, reneged on the deal by refusing to use a condom. He also reportedly demanded a refund of his payment after the encounter and stole the complainant’s mobile phone.
Regional Magistrate Vimbai Mutukwa ordered Gwabvira to be held in custody until April 8, 2022.

According to the State’s account, on March 23, 2024, at Madhimoni Bottle Store in Runde Business Centre, Gwabvira paid 200 Rands for s3xual services. Initially agreeing to conduct the transaction in the complainant’s room, Gwabvira later insisted on moving the encounter to his car, which was parked at the business center. However, upon reaching the vehicle, they discovered Gwabvira’s friends inside, prompting them to relocate to a nearby bush.
Despite their prior agreement to use condoms, Gwabvira disregarded safety measures, brandishing a knife and threatening the complainant with harm if she did not engage in unprotected intercourse with him. He forcibly subjected the complainant to unsafe s3x against her wishes.
The following day, the complainant reported the incident at Ngundu Police Station, leading to a medical examination at Mwenezi District Hospital. Tanyaradzwa Tinagwo represented the State in the proceedings.
