Reuben Marumahoko, the former Mashonaland West Minister of State, was arrested on fraud charges related to misusing agricultural inputs provided by the government.

He allegedly received resources like seed, fertilizers, and chemicals under the Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (ARDA) commercial farmers’ joint venture programme, intended for planting 200 hectares of irrigated maize.

However, Marumahoko is accused of planting maize on only 46 hectares, while selling the surplus inputs, resulting in a financial loss of US$37,950 for ARDA.
