Seed Co Top Executive Terrence Nyasha Chimanya Resigns

Seed Co, a leading agricultural company, has announced significant management changes with the resignation of Mr. Terrence Nyasha Chimanya from his position as Managing Director, effective immediately.

Expressing gratitude for Chimanya’s contributions during his tenure, the Board, Management, and staff extend their best wishes for his future endeavors.

In light of Chimanya’s departure, Mrs. Felistus Ndawi-Gurajena, the current General Manager for Seed Co Vegetables Northern Cluster, has been appointed as the Acting Managing Director.

Additionally, Mr. Patrick Mutandwa, who serves as the Group HR and Services Director, has been appointed as the Acting General Manager for the Seed Co Vegetables Northern Cluster. Despite his new role, Mutandwa will continue to oversee Group HR activities.

These appointments come into effect immediately, reflecting the company’s commitment to seamless transition and continuity.

In a statement, Chief Executive Morgan Nzwere expressed confidence in the new appointees, urging full support from all stakeholders. The company anticipates continued success under their leadership.

In another story, The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) listed seed producer operates Seed Co Limited in Zimbabwe and Seed Co International Limited in the region, which has a primary listing on the Botswana Stock Exchange and secondary listing on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX).

Traditionally, the business’s first-half period falls within the commencement period of the summer selling season resulting in reduced sales, revenues and profitability.

Morgan Nzwere, the chief executive officer of both entities, in separate half year presentations, said the group had an optimal varietal mix of seed to match the mixed rainfall forecasts with most parts of Southern Africa expecting normal to above normal rains and East Africa anticipating normal to below normal rains...read in full
