Tobias Pedzisayi, a member of the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) stationed in Karoi, was apprehended on April 9, 2024, on charges of breaking into an office and stealing $24,000. He appeared before the Karoi Magistrates’ Court facing charges of unlawful entry.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) claims that on March 3, 2024, at around one in the morning, Pedzisayi, 34, was seen on CCTV breaking into the complainant’s office. He is purportedly shown in the video stealing $24,000 by breaking into a safe with an unknown device. It is also said that he took off with the CCTV camera that captured his activities.

Around six in the morning, the complainant found the breach and quickly reported it to the authorities, which resulted in Pedzisayi’s apprehension on April 9, 2024.

According to the authorities, Tobias Pedzisayi spent a portion of the pilfered money on a motorbike, a residential stand and building supplies totaling $6,000. These things were all later found again.

On April 16, 2024, Pedzisayi is expected to appear in court once more to address additional legal proceedings.

In another story, Prison Officer Kwandokuhle Ndethi Arrested For Stealing. In a bizarre turn of events, the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service employee Kwandokuhle Ndethi who is accused of stealing went on a rampage inside the New Government Complex.

He pilfered hardware for computers.

Kwandokuhle Ndethi, accused with eight charges of unauthorised entrance, made an appearance in court over the weekend.

The Attorney General’s office was broken into on March 27, and two HP printers and an HP monitor were taken by Ndethi, according to testimony given in court, On April 1, he broke into the offices of the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education and took an HP printer….read in full
