IS there something brewing in Edward Sadomba’s picture perfect household which, until now, has been a shining model for local high-profile footballers?
Sadomba is married to Sherlynn Sadomba, who is a prosecutor, at the Harare Magistrates Court.
They have been blessed with a beautiful family and, now and again, they have been hailed as a model couple when it comes to local celebrity marriages.
However, H-Metro has been informed that there could be some trouble in the Sadomba paradise.
H-Metro sources say the case involved a nasty fallout between the two which ended up spilling into the hands of the police.
Yesterday, H-Metro reporters were tipped that the case would be heard at Mbare Magistrates Court instead of the Harare Magistrates Court.
Sadomba arrived at the court in the company of his lawyer, Charles Warara.
His wife, Sherlyn arrived later.
However, the former Dynamos and Warriors forward did not appear before a magistrate after the vetting officer decided that there were outstanding statements that were supposed to be recorded from witnesses before the matter was ready to be heard.
According to a close source, who spoke on conditions of anonymity, Sadomba locked out his wife outside their matrimonial residence on several occasions when she returned home in the evening.
Sadomba will be summoned back to the Mbare Magistrates Court once investigations are complete.
Such has been the couple’s closeness our sister newspaper, The Sunday Mail, described them being “like coffee and doughnuts, salt and pepper or rum and coke.
“At most formal football functions, one is likely to find them arm-in-arm.
“But their closeness goes beyond these gatherings.”
She told the same newspaper:
“My greatest challenge has been having to partially lose my identity as an individual.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m a proud wife but sometimes you want to run your own race and have your personal identity — with your own credits and achievements — other than just being someone’s wife or mother.
“I play my role in society very well, as an individual, as a wife and as a mother.
“But with my husband’s name, it’s been a lot of work to keep both identities up and running at par.
“Luckily, I have since got the hang of it.”
